Plug fests

Lift plug fest (CiA 417) in February, CiA Headquarters, Nuremberg, Germany

CAN in Automation organizes plug fests as new service for CiA members. The purpose of these events is to check and improve the interoperability of CANopen devices. It helps device designers to optimize their device software. In addition system designers may get a better understanding on the problems occurring during device integration. Finally the results of plug fests are a valuable input for improving the related CANopen profile.
At irregular intervals CAN in Automation organizes plug fests focusing either generic CANopen devices (e.g. CANopen devices supporting device profiles CiA 401, CiA 402, etc.) or CANopen devices designed for special application fields (e.g. CANopen devices supporting application profiles CiA 417, CiA 422, etc.).

All CANopen plug fests are for CiA members only and participation is free of charge.
