EMS CAN repeaters and gateway

Availability
In stock

EMS offers a wide range of different CAN repeater devices, a standard CAN/CAN gateway is also available.

CAN Repeater

CAN repeaters are used to allow a different network topology than a simple line structure. Long stub lines, tree or star topologies are possible by the use of CAN repeaters. Also galvanic decoupling can easily be accomplished by a galvanic decoupled repeater. Signal conditioning for very long CAN lines is another task for CAN repeaters. CTrans OL is most suitable for the latter, because it couples two CAN segments with an optical fibre. With custom specific board level repeaters we offer a flexible way to integrate repeater technology in customer products.

CRep DS102

CRep DS102 is a compact and robust constructed repeater for CAN networks. By the use of CRep DS102 an essential flexibilization of the network structure and lowering of the installation costs can be achieved.

CRep N

CRep N is a rail mountable CAN repeater with screwable connections. CRep N offers a wide supply voltage range and an extended temperature range. Extended error suppression switches erroneous CAN segments off.

CRep Opto

CRep Opto is a rail mountable, galvanic separating CAN repeater with standard SUB-D connectors. Extended error suppression switches erroneous CAN segments off.

CRep S8C (NEW)

CRep S8C is a rail mountable CAN repeater with plugable connections. CRep S8C offers eight CAN channels, up to three devices may be cascaded offering a total of 24 channels. This makes CRep S8C well suited to realize a star topology. Extended error suppression switches erroneous CAN segments off.

CTrans OL

CTrans OL is an optical fibre coupler for CAN based systems. CTrans OL offers the possibility to connect copper-based CAN segments via optical fibre and thus permits high isolation voltages and provides excellent perturbation decoupling between the CAN segments. Due to the modular construction of electronics and optical fibre adapter CTrans OL allows a flexible choice of fibre and connection.

CAN Gateway

CG-ARM7

CG-ARM7 is used to couple different CAN systems, where the use of a repeater is not possible or not appropriate. Filtering, identifier mapping or the use of different baudrates are tasks for CG-ARM7. There is a development kit available, which enables the user to write its own application specific software for the device.
