Ixxat provides versatile passive and active interfaces for the PC, which can be used either with Ixxat tools or with customer specific applications.

The interfaces are available without, or with 8-bit, 16-bit and 32-bit micro-controller systems on board and can be equipped with up to four high-speed or low-speed CAN interfaces and an optional galvanic isolation.

The included powerful CAN driver VCI (virtual CAN interface) allows the programming of Windows based applications (2000/XP/Vista/7, 32/64-bit) independent of the used hardware. An universal application interface makes the changing of the interface possible without any adaptation of the user application.

In addition to the free VCI, Ixxat supports the intelligent interfaces with a CANopen Master or Manager API and a J1939 API for Windows.

For selected interfaces also free drivers for Linux, INtime and RTX are available.
