PC-PCI to CAN interface

The PCAN-PCI card provides an inexpensive solution for connecting a CAN interface to a PC using a PCI bus system. There is no need to configure the card in order to adapt it to the PC, since the driver registers it automatically. The PCAN-PCI card package includes software for Windows and sample sources for in-house programming.

The card is equipped with the SJA1000 CAN controller and the 82C251 driver. Connection to the CAN network is through a 9-pin Sub-D connector in which the pin assignment complies with CiA 102-1.

The card is available in a single-channel or dual-channel version.

The PCAN-PCI ISO versions also include optical decoupling. Built-in DC/DC converters and optical couplers provide electrical isolation to a maximum of 500 V between the PC and the CAN network.
