Availability
In stock
  • Wireless transfer of CAN data
  • "CAN bridging"
  • Connect mobile and/or stationary CAN networks

Wide range of wireless interfaces

RM Michaelides offers various wireless interfaces which either connect different CAN networks with each other or allow connecting CAN networks to PCs, laptops, or PDAs. The CAN networks can either be mobile or stationary.

CANview Bluetooth

CANview® Bluetooth enables wireless data transfer between two different CAN networks ("CAN bridging") or between a CAN network and a PC, laptop, or PDA via Bluetooth connection. Various devices with Bluetooth interfaces can exchange data with each other, provided they support the needed SPP (serial port profile), i.e. a virtual serial COM port. The operation in the CANopen slave mode enables CANopen participants to communicate with Bluetooth devices.

CANview WLAN

CANview WLAN enables the wireless transmission of CAN data with a high data throughput between various CAN networks or a CAN network and a WLAN/LAN network according to the 802.11b standard. CANview® WLAN is often used for short ranges between 10 m and 200 m. It offers two operating modes: the access point mode and the ad-hoc mode. In the access point mode, the data connection takes place over one or several WLAN access points. In the ad-hoc mode, a direct connection is established between a single CANview® WLAN device and a PC or laptop (with an integrated WLAN interface), or with a second CANview® WLAN device.

CANlink GSM

CANlink® GSM 2001 and 2101 serve to exchange data between a CAN network and a receiver using GSM and GPRS infrastructures. In connection with the innovative Proemion communication management system, CANlink® GSM 2001 and 2101 devices enable the worldwide control and monitoring of mobile and stationary CAN networks, thereby providing inexpensive possibilities for fleet management and remote diagnosis. An authenticated and encrypted protocol ensures the secure data transfer between the CANlink® GSM 2001 or CANlink® devices and the Proemion internet server. Additionally, CANlink® GSM 2101 also provides GPS data.
