The new, but already in practice proven Melt and Industrial Pressure sensors with digital CANopen technology opens up new fields of applications together with the most sophisticated bus control techniques in automated systems. The digital pressure signal with a high 13-bit resolution is contineous on the 2-wire CAN network as well as the control communication over the standardized CANopen protocol CiA 404.

The scanning and conversion rate of the pressure signal is 20 ms, fast enough for most industry applications.

Due to the CAN network conditions, the sensor calibrations for zero balance and range can also be programmed as the functions Auto-Zero, CAL, ALARM, Zero Suppression and Range Extension.

The integrated CAN wiring supervises automatically the faultless functions of the pressure transducer and sends an "life-guard" alarm when internal functions failed.

The process security of the complete control system and facility is therefore essentially raised and at the same time there is a saving of service costs during the life of the facility, especially in large and decentralised systems.
