The CAN Analyzer is a powerful, flexible and economic instrument which develops and verifies system based on CANopen. This product allows to study and configure CANopen systems, using a user interface that permits a simple access to devices and their objects. The instrument is composed of the following: module hardware with an RS-232 interface that connects to a personal computer and a CAN terminal that connects to the line; a modem serial cable and software for MS Windows.

CAN Analyzer software

You can approach the various functions via the main window of the CAN analyzer. You can selected the type of CAN network, standard or extended (11-bit/29-bit CAN-IDs), and set the bit-rate of the network (up to 1 Mbit/s). You can monitor the network for its bus load. LEDs indicate the status of the network. Via different screens (Network manager, CANopen monitor, CAN monitor, and CAN sender) it is possible to access various aspects of the protocol.

Network Manager

This screen permits to scan all nodes or a single node, or permits to scan for available nodes. This screen enables to:

Read and write to/from the CAN register
Change the state of the node (pre-operational, operational)

CANopen Monitor

This screen is available only if the type of CAN network is �standard�. It visualizes all CANopen frames that pass the network. It visualizes the node, data type (SDO or PDO), and the data content.

CANopen Filter

This screen enables to filter the various frame.

CAN Monitor

This screen enables to filter the various frame.

CAN Sender

This screen is available in both types of CAN frame (standard and extended). It enables to send a CAN frame and includes:

Cyclic transmission function
Debug function (to transmit only the CAN frame you selected)
