The use of optical fibres in CAN products extends the application areas in which CAN may be used. Different kinds of products help the system designer to setup his CAN system.
CTrans OL
CTrans OL is an optical fibre coupler for CAN based systems. CTrans OL offers the possibility to connect copper-based CAN segments via optical fibre and thus permits high isolation voltages and provides excellent perturbation decoupling between the CAN segments. Due to the modular construction of electronics and optical fibre adapter CTrans OL allows a flexible choice of fibre and connection.
EtherCAN FX
EtherCAN FX is a fiberoptic router for CAN based systems. EtherCAN FX provides the possibility to couple copper-based CAN segments over long distances while abrogating the extension/datarate restrictions of the overall network. Different data rates within the CAN subsegments are possible. The device is available for a maximum distance of 15 km and 40 km.
SBR FX
SBR FX is a fiberoptic router for Safetybus p networks. SBR FX provides the possibility to couple copper-based CAN segments over long distances while abrogating the extension/datarate restrictions of the overall network. Different data rates within the Safetybus p subsegments are possible, the used bit-rates are detected automatically. The device is available for a maximum distance of 15 km and 40 km.
CG FL
CG FL is a fiber optic based router for CAN systems. CG FL offers the possibility to connect copper-based CAN segments over a distance up to 4 km while overcoming the relationship of cable length to data rate for the complete CAN system. Different bit-rates in the CAN segments are possible.
