The HY-TTC 90 is the top-level electronic control unit of the HY-TTC 50 controller family, offering enhanced flexibility and safety to off-highway and utility vehicle manufacturers. It is designed to comply with the IEC 61508 and ISO/EN 13849 international standards. It comprises a main CPU, for executing the user application and a smaller diagnostic CPU, which continuously monitors the main CPU and the safety-critical inputs and outputs. If an error is detected, an internal switch opens, disconnecting all output stages from the power supply and bringing the control system to a safe state. These safety features prevent uncommanded movements of vehicles and equipment, thereby ensuring safe working conditions for operators and surrounding personnel.

HY-TTC 90 features built-in CANopen functionality, which makes it easy to create smart networks containing I/O modules or ECUs from different suppliers. Connecting TTControl's smart I/O modules HY-TTC 36X or HY-TTC 48X via CANopen to the HY-TTC 90 one extends its I/O capabilities in the easiest possible way. Using the Codesys IDE this controller is simply programmed as if it had an additional 36 or 48 inputs and outputs.

The HY-TTC 90 fulfills SIL 2 (safety integrity level 2) and PL d (performance level d) requirements as general purpose controller which was certified by TÜV Nord in July 2010. As a member of the HY-TTC 50 family, the HY-TTC 90 supports a broad range of applications, including low-cost as well as high-availability applications in off-highway vehicles.
