isCAN USB gateway and interface board

Availability
In stock
The CAN interface "isCAN USB" forms a compact hardware platform for mobile set-up as well as configuration and monitoring. With the universal USB interface an easy access to any CAN/CANopen-based network is provided.
Desktop PCs and notebook devices without installed CAN adapter can be taken into the field and connected with the CAN network within seconds. It is an active interface equipped with a separate micro-processor which handles all the time-critical tasks on the bus. Regardless of the performance of the host PC a maximum of security against the loss of data due to PC overload is guaranteed.

The device is USB-bus powered, thus not depending on external power supplies.

Applications: set-up, monitoring, data acquisition

Supported systems: Mobile set-up as well as monitoring are supported under the operating systems Windows 98, ME, 2000 and XP. The installed operation system is detected automatically. With the included driver DLL user-specific applications can be integrated easily.

For the use in CANopen networks a firmware upgrade is available. Then the device can be used as SDO client (max. 127 clients).

A CAN/CANopen OPC server enables a fast to implement and comfortable access to devices via the OPC interface.

Hardware profile
The "isCAN USB" interface standard type supports 11-bit CAN-IDs and 29-bit CAN-IDs. It is connected with a 9-pin D-Sub connector according to the CiA 303-1 specification. The interface supports a transmission speed of up to 1 Mbit/s. LEDs indicate the actual working condition. The CAN interface is available with galvanic decoupling to the CAN network.
