CANview® (RS-232)
For many years, the industry has been using CANview® for connecting devices with a serial RS-232 interface to CAN networks, e.g. PCs or PDAs. The data transmission takes place bi-directionally. Using a PC or laptop, CANview® can also operate as a data logger or CAN monitor.
CANview® USB
Using a USB interface, CANview® USB enables fast CAN data exchange with a PC or PDA. Connection to the device is established over a virtual serial COM port.
CANview® Profibus DB
CANview® Profibus DB enables the easy exchange of data between a CAN network and a Profibus DP network. Devices can easily be combined to form a hybrid network. Excellent utilization options are also possible for PLC-controlled machines and systems. The device is fully compatible with Siemens SIMATIC® S7. Low-cost CAN sensors or actuators can also be connected to a PLC using the CANview® Profibus DP.
CANview® Ethernet
CANview® Ethernet is equipped with a 10/100M Base-T Ethernet interface for rapid data transfer. CAN data can be losslessly transmitted with a baud rate of 1 Mbit/s and a high bus load via Ethernet. It is also possible to seamlessly link two remote CAN networks via Ethernet. Data exchange with other RM CAN products is possible as well as communication over the Internet by means of suitable gateways/routers. On the Ethernet side, the device communicates via TCP or UDP protocols.
CANview® Gateway
CANview® Gateway enables smooth exchange of data between different CAN networks. With two CAN interfaces, the device connects CAN networks which use different baud rates and protocols, additionally the CAN specifications can even be interchanged between the CAN networks. With the USB interface, CANView® Gateway also permits extremely fast data exchange between a CAN network and a PC or a PDA. A virtual serial COM port establishes the connection to the device, resembling a conventional RS-232 interface.
