CAN-Ethernet Gateway
In stock
The CAN-Ethernet Gateway makes easy the transparent connection of remote CAN networks. Multipoint-connections support setup of complex structures at the field-bus level. Diagnosis and configuration via remote access enables easy network servicing. Configurable filtration allows for limitation of transmitted CAN messages, thus ensuring that only relevant data is transmitted via Ethernet. Time synchronization is guaranteed by timestamps that are assigned to each CAN message. Remote access to the CAN-Ethernet Gateway is provided via telnet or a serial link (RS-232). Password protection is included. No proprietary software is required for configuration. The default CAN-Ethernet Gateway configuration allows for plug & play start-up. The CAN-Ethernet Gateway is ready for use immediately after power-up, ensuring out-of-the-box deployment within a short time. The device supports a transparent, protocol-independent transfer of the CAN messages, thus allowing its implementation into a wide range of applications.
A virtual CAN-Ethernet Gateway, in the form of PC software drivers, is available for Windows-based systems. A unified CAN interface is available for using the CAN-Ethernet Gateway with standard CAN tools such as CAN-REport. Various CANopen configuration tools such as the CANopen Configuration Suite provided by SYS TEC or ProCANopen are supported as well.
