The 2040 Colour Display is used as a graphical user interface of a machine's control system. This full colour display is based on TFT technology and provides the latest communication options for the machine operator. The display size is 5,7 inch having ¼ VGA (320 × 240) resolution. Wide viewing angle and chrystal clear picture, also in very light conditions, make display usage very comfortable.

Available communication interfaces are Ethernet, two CAN interfaces, one serial port and two USB ports. In addition, there are couple of digital inputs (DI) for e.g. external push buttons when required.

The 2040 Display is a solid part of a control system and has robust construction allowing for mounting even outside the cabin. Typically the unit is installed in the dashboard, or on top of a display pedestal, allowing user to adjust the angle and position freely.

Typically graphical display in machine control system is used as user interface presenting gauge meters, operational status information and for e.g. collecting production logs. In many systems, designed and programmed by Epec experts, the display also stores all the control units application softwares and parameters making system updates and maintenance easy and effortless.

CoDeSys visualization makes programming the 2040 Colour Display very easy. This graphical windows tool can be used to design display gauge meters, icons, buttons, texts, etc. Additional visual elements can be imported to CoDeSys visualization from any graphical tool. Operational display functions will be added with the addition of the PLCopen application code. C programming and other additional functions can also be used to provide suitable solutions for machine applications.
