GXMMW-Multivo encoder family

Availability
In stock
IVO as specialist in encoder technology developed a brand-new multiturn encoder that thanks to its conception fits almost all current field bus systems. One and the same encoder can be combined with different bus covers with integratede corresponding field bus electronics. Thus, control designers and OEMs are more flexible, stocks are being reduced and in case of maintenance work both encoder and bus electronics can be changed separately.

Optional available are bus covers for CAN, CANopen, DeviceNet, Fiber-Optic Bus and simple network via RS-485 Interface.
According to the application’s prevailing conditions, in the multiturn absolute encoder field the encoder expert IVO is making use of different physical principles: multivo®, designed for industrial applications is operating without mechanical gears. This encoder series is of a very compact and robust design with 29-bit resolution. Applications calling for higher accuracy and high data rates, that’s what the activo® multiturns are designed for. Still in single-turn operation they enable an 18-bit resolution at an accuracy of 0,005 °. However, since with extreme ambient conditions the optical scan in singleturn operation might be a weak point due to its function principle, IVO is going new ways with the magtivo® multiturn encoder series especially destinated for heavy-duty-applications. Both singleturn and multiturn operation is based on a new magnetic scanning method, enabling for example complete overmoulding. This procedure is achieving an absolute accuracy of 10 bit.
