CANopen Inclinometer

XY-CAN-E is a two-axis inclinometer sensor with CANopen protocol. The sensor can be used for measuring the tilt and swing angle of any object with respect to gravity. It can also simultaneously operate as a 360° sensor. Inclination measuring is based on the high accuracy accelerometer IC.

  • Two-axis measuring for XY inclination
  • Measures inclination up to ±90°
  • Precise measuring range ±180°
  • Sensor measures a full 360° of orientation at the same time
  • Accuracy better than ±0.3°, typically below ±0.15°
  • Actual reading resolution up to 0.04°
  • Two M12 connectors for CAN interface IN/OUT
  • CAN-bus interface (ISO 11898). Bit-rate up to 1 Mbit/s
  • CANopen according to CiA DS 301 V4.02
  • CANopen device profile 410 V1.1 (Inclinometer)
  • Supports layer setting services CiA 305 V2.0
  • Operating voltage 9 VDC to 30 VDC
  • Temperature ranges: Operating: −35 °C to 70 °C. Storage −50 °C to 85 °C
  • Weight ∼330g-Protection class IP67
  • Stainless steel housing
  • Dimensions without connectors 82 × 66 × 36 (mm)
