Ixxat's canAnalyser is a powerful tool for the development, maintenance and service of CAN and CANopen, DeviceNet and J1939 based systems.
Besides its powerful basic functionality for the transmission, reception and interpretation of CAN messages, Ixxat offers with the CANopen module an extension to make CANopen analysis easy and fast.
The CANopen module makes a CANopen specific interpretation of received CAN messages and is able to interpret and display the signals transmitted via SDO and PDO in plaintext. It is conform to the latest CANopen CiA 301 specification and supports among other things the SDO block transfer protocol.
For PDOs, the module uses the information provided in the device specific EDS or DCF files to determine the mapping information and to display the data. Received messages can be filtered based on different criteria like Node-ID, SDO, PDO or NMT.
Further features include the display of Multiplexed PDOs (in SAM and DAM mode), the interpretation of the LSS and the Flying-Master protocol as well as the possibility to convert a Vendor-ID to the corresponding company name.
The configuration of the CANopen Module can be done manually or by using either pre-defined device profile files (e.g. for CiA 401, CiA 402, CiA 405, CiA 406) or a direct EDS/DCF import functionality.
