CANopen Device Manager

Availability
In stock

The Ixxat CANopen Device Manager is a versatile and upgradeable tool targeted at device test, diagnostics and field service tasks. Build around a central component that provides all required CANopen services and also serves as the primary entry point for network definition, the CANopen Device Manager features a plug-in concept to dynamically install supplementary functionality like NMT error control, SDO, PDO transmission, SYNC and time stamp producer, concise DCF download, firmware download according to CiA 302, and an LSS master according to CiA 305.

Direct device access is supported by means of SDO (normal, expedited, and block transfer). From the user point of view, SDO access to the device is considerably simplified by an object dictionary browser listing information contained in EDS files that can be assigned to each device. The CANopen Device Manager also supports PDO transmission on request, event-driven or synchronous transmission.

The highlight of the IXXAT CANopen Device Manager is the support for plug-in modules that can be tailored to specific requirements of CANopen devices. Plug-in modules integrate seamlessly with the CANopen Device Manager and may either implement a high-level abstraction of functionality as described in the CiA device profile specifications or provide an entirely customized graphical user interface optimized for end-of-line tests or the specific requirements of device commissioning or maintenance tasks performed by service staff.
