The processor module MX213 (based on PC technology) is designed for the M1 controller system. It can be operated standalone, or it can control up to 320 local I/O-modules connected to the M1 backplane.
The onboard CAN interface (up to 1 Mbit) can handle 128 Tx and Rx PDOs, the configuration tool is fully integrated into bachmann's Eclipse-based SolutionCenter. The mapped network variables can be accessed directly via the process image in a IEC 61131-3 program or by symbolic addressing in other high level languages (C, C++, Matlab Simulink, Java).
The other Interfaces on the module (2 × 10/100 Mbit-Ethernet, one full RS-232, one combined RS-232/RS-422/RS-485) are free available for application programming. The CPU with integrated FPU offers enough performance for closed loop control applications together with severel other application software modules.
The ferro-electrical FRAMs provides local data security for more than ten years without power supply.
