The J1939 source code is written in ANSI-C and is available for platforms with 8-bit microcontrollers and higher. The code is compact and constructed in modular fashion and it can thus be adjusted easily to hardware-specific circumstances. Through abstraction of the CAN messages, the data is made available to the application as normal SAE J1939 parameter groups. An extensive manual will help you get started. The simple interfaces of the J1939 source code enable the user to concentrate on creating the application.The normally very time-consuming process of getting started with SAE J1939 and the programming of the CAN controller are thus eliminated. The J1939 source code will also be constantly adjusted to the current developments of the SAE J1939 standard. Effort required for integration into J1939 systems is thus reduced to a minimum.

The CANbedded J1939 extension is a family of software components that is custom-tailored to the special requirements of J1939-based applications. The extensions provide functionalities for basic communication as required in commercial vehicle applications. Based on the CAN protocol, they allow the exchange of information between ECUs.
