ODX-Editor
In stock
The ODX-Editor is additional software within the M.D.T. diagnostic tool-chain. It is used to abstract the ECU parameters and enables the easy editing of available and new ODX files via the GUI.
The ODX-Editor corresponds to the ASAM MCD-2D standard, which describes ECU in a standardised XML format. It simplifies to write texts and cares to maintain the rules for creating valid files. Its main task is the entry and control of existing ODX databases.
The ODX-Editor supports any devices per one ODX file. As the creation of an ODX file is not very easy, a great number of help functions are provided during the editing, if one value were invalid.
Protocol definitions must be set for an ECU like variable types or CAN network properties like bit-rate, Basic ID or Filling Bytes. Aside global applied Services and the belonging Requests and Responses can be defined. So the user can access to that data later or the data can be defined in the Base Variant.
Corresponding to the ASAM standard properties like Short Name or Long Name can be selected, too. The internal and external data type (casting) are specified as well as the size (1 bit, 8 bit or 16 bit).
Features:
- Each available and future communication protocol is describable
