CANexplorer MT (multithread) analyzer

The CANexplorer provides all necessary functions to analyse a complete CAN network and enables to visualise comfortably, to transmit actively, to receive and to store CAN data. For this it is used in the development and debugging of CAN-based projects in the automation and automotive industry.

The CAN network data can be logged and afterwards replayed for simulation purpose. So the CANexplorer is an extensive analysing and logging software for the CAN network which supports all internal and external CAN interfaces manufactured by Sontheim Industrie Elektronik GmbH.

 

The CANexplorer displays each CAN frame of the CAN bus traffic in opposition to physical analysis tools. Thus with the help of the graphical and textual illustration of all physical values a complete CAN bus trace is possible. Similar to a logic analyser, the user is able to affect for himself on which position the data shell be recorded; this happens due to the triggered data recognition. In addition the latest release of the CANexplorer disposes of a multithread support for the SiECA132 MT-API to enable a simultaneous operation besides existing applications on a PC as well as a Virtual Device Driver which allows testing all functions without any connected hardware.

 

The software is available in three versions:

  • The Mini version for the service sector: It offers all basis features of the functional range like Trace and Monitor functionality for the correct chronological allocation of the messages and data filter, data logging and data storage.
  • The Basic version for the development: It offers all features of the Mini version and additional the definition of function macros on twelve function keys as well as the replay of stored data.
  • The FullL version is the comfort version for the development: It offers the complete functional range including symbolic and graphical representation of CAN frames. Thus the observance of measurement and status data get easy enormously and with the help of designed symbols real physical values can be represented.
