CiA Product Guides 2007
Are you looking for another way of promoting your CAN products and services? Why not show your products in CiA’s product guides? After all, the electronic product guides attract thousands of hits on CiA’s web site plus they are distributed at all seminars, fairs, conferences the groups organizes or attends.
CiA publishes three different product catalogs: the CAN Product Guide, the CANopen Product Guide and the J1939 Product Guide. The product guides are published yearly with new and updated information on products, services, etc. and include manufacturer and sales contacts. Each product entry will provide extensive technical information of your product and contact information on your company. A general section introduces the respective protocol to newcomers. For ease and convenience customers will be able to look up your product by category, company name, product name and protocol-specific classing such as device profiles (CANopen) or industry groups (J1939). Please pre-book your space in the product guides described below.
CANopen Product Guide 2007
The CANopen Product Guide has been a success story: The yearly-published product guide was first put on the Internet in 2004, which boosted its acceptance among purchasers. With several hundreds of different CANopen products listed in one neat and easy to navigate electronic catalog, customers can browse through offers of devices, software and tools, services, etc. at their leisure.
A general information chapter about CANopen technology is included as are descriptions of the CANopen device and application profiles.
Customers may search the product guide by product categories, by a company name, or by a product name. Also, if they are looking for specific features, they may search via the device and application profile section, which lists all products conforming to a specific profile. The current edition of the CANopen Product Guide is available at www.can-cia.org/products/pg2006/.

J1939 Product Guide 2007
Have you ever looked to buy a J1939-specific device or software and had difficulties finding it? Many of your customers may have done this in the past since there has not been a product guide to help them. For the first time CiA released such a J1939 Product Guide in 2006. This product guide has simplified searching by listing all devices according to their industrial categories, and, as in the other catalogs by their product categories, manufacturer's name and product name. Entries feature the devices physical layer, application layer, PGNs, functions and certifications, if applicable, to provide detailed information to prospective purchasers. As in the CANopen Product Guide, a photo and a descriptive text and a detailed contact section complete the picture.

CAN Product Guide 2007
There are quite a few CAN-based products, which do not necessarily implement a higher- layer protocol. Customers still want to know how to easily find them, which is why CiA started the CAN Product Guide in 2006. This product guide is a platform for all CAN-based devices, software, tools, services, etc., which do not fall into the categories of CANopen or J1939. If your device complies to DeviceNet, CANKingdom, a proprietary CAN protocol or just simply Layer 2 CAN, then the CAN Product Guide is the best place to advertise it.
The CAN Product Guide lists your product by category, by manufacturer's name and by product name for simple and fast access. An introductory chapter introduces customers to the CAN protocol and provides them with basic knowledge of the CAN physical layer and data format. Make sure a potential customer can find your device, too: Please use the enclosed form and fax it to +49-9131-69086-79 before June 29, 2007.
