CiA’s AI governance

The CiA Business Committee (BC) and CiA Technical Committee (TC) have established a joint task force (JTF) to discuss CiA’s AI governance. In particular, the use of AI tools when drafting CiA documents needs to be regulated. Another issue is the use of CiA-internal documents as input for AI tools.

There are several legal issues to consider, including copyright, intellectual property (IP) rights, the EU AI Act, and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The kick-off meeting of the JTF is scheduled for October 29 at the CiA office in Nuremberg, Germany. Registration by email is obligatory.

All interested members are welcome to participate in the discussion on CiA’s AI governance. It is a complex topic, and we need to find a balance between benefiting from AI tools and avoiding legal pitfalls.
