CiA® 110: CAN common mode choke
CiA 110 specifies the requirements and the test methods of the mechanical and electrical parameters of common mode chokes applicable for usage in CAN CC and CAN FD networks. The electromagnetic compatibility evaluation complies with IEC 62228-3:2019.
CiA 110 specifies mechanical, electrical, and quality characteristics of common mode chokes. Among electrical characteristics are common mode inductance, stray inductance, saturation and peak current, DC resistance per line etc.
Additionally, the Annex A provides recommendations on common mode impedance limit values for the frequency range of 1 MHz to 1 GHz of the common mode choke classes I, II, III, and IV.

The electromagnetic compatibility evaluation complies with the IEC 62228-3:2019 standard. NOTE The common mode chokes with a maximum ambient temperature of +150 °C are not in the scope of this document, and will be considered in the next version if possible. |
