CiA® 613 series: CAN XL add-on services
CiA 613 CAN XL add-on services series is designed to provide fragmentation and CANsec options for CAN XL frame.
- CiA 613-1: CAN XL add-on services — Part 1: Simple/extended content (SEC) indication;
- CiA 613-2: CAN XL add-on services — Part 2: CANsec data plane;
- CiA 613-3: CAN XL add-on services — Part 3: LLC frame fragmentation.
CiA 613-1 covers concept to indicate add-on in CAN XL frame and how to recognize it at message sender and receiver.
CiA 613-2 covers handling of CANsec data plane accordingly i.e. security data configuration and mapping, etc.
CiA 613-3 covers mechanism to transmit long CAN XL frames in fragments to allow transmission interruption with resuming from the interrupted fragment instead of repeated transfer of the whole long frame.

The focus of this specification is on the CAN XL data link layer. The document additionally addresses the primary key management requirements but leaves the specifics of a key exchange/distribution protocol out of scope. |
