IG03 SIG20 Radar sensor
Scope
This group specifies the profile for radar sensors that are applied in collision avoidance, object detection (2D and 3D), level, velocity, and distance measurement, and other use cases. This includes a mapping to CANopen and J1939 higher-layer protocols and related functional safety protocols.

ScopeThis document specifies the CANopen interface for devices that identify existence, dimension, orientation, or movement of items in their environment (e.g. optical camera (2D or 3D), laser device). Often those devices are called vision sensors or object detection devices. |

ScopeThis document specifies the CANopen interface and the CANopen object dictionary entries for item detection devices, implementing different sensor technologies, e.g., optical camera (2D or 3D), laser, and radar (1D to 4D). They can identify existence, dimension, orientation, or movement of detected items. In case of AI-processed sensor values, the devices provide additionally quality-of-service (e.g., probability) data about the provided sensor values. NOTE Item detection devices are called vision sensors or object detection devices, as well. |
