CANopen Lift and CleANopen profile webinars in February

In 2021, CAN in Automation (CiA) again organizes several CAN-related webinars about various topics. In February, the first ones with the topics CANopen Lift (02 February, 2021) and CleANopen (25 February, 2021) take place. They are free of charge and anyone can attend.

The CANopen (CiA 417) application profile for lift control systems, also known as CANopen Lift specification, defines the communication interfaces for different virtual devices. This includes call, car drive, and car door controllers as well as input panel, output panel, car drive, car position, load measuring, car door, light barrier, remote data transmission, and power-measuring units. You can register here for the webinar.

CleANopen is the trade name of the CANopen application profile for municipal vehicles (CiA 422). The CiA 422 application profile specifies virtual devices for refuse collecting vehicles. You can register here for the webinar.

The one-hour CiA webinars provide latest technical as well as market trends in CAN-based networking. They discuss the current status that is achieved in CAN-based networking as well as next steps with regard to market penetration and technical development (CAN XL). Additionally, status and near future of CAN FD-based higher-layer protocols such as CANopen FD and SAE J1939-22 are presented.

These webinars are intended for CAN users or decision makers from all over the world. Therefore, they are scheduled in three different time zones (CET, CST, JST) thus enabling interested people to attend the webinar at a convenient local time. The CiA webinars are held in English language. The participation is free of charge. To receive dial-in data, registration is obligatory.
