New CiA Board of Directors

The annual General Assembly has elected Magnus-Maria Hell (Infineon) as Technical Director and re-elected Christian Schlegel (CHS Consulting) as Business Director as well as Holger Zeltwanger as Managing Director.

New CiA Technical and Business Committee

Elected members of the Technical Committee are Bosch, Emotas, ESD, Microcontrol, and Vector. Emotas, ESD, HMS, Microcontrol, and Vector are the elected members of the Business Committee.

CAN XL: Proof of concept

The CAN Newsletter Online informs about a proof-of-concept research project by Daimler Truck. It is the first CAN XL network used in a road vehicle.

ISO 11992-2:2023 released

Recently, the reviewed and updated ISO 11992-2 standard has been published. It specifies the not brake and not running-gear related suspect parameters and parameter groups for the CAN-based network between towing and towed heavy-duty road vehicles.

CAN Info Mail March

CAN is an important embedded communication technology in heat pumps. Some heat pumps use CANopen as higher-layer protocol. Therefore, it makes sense to provide a standardized CANopen diagnostic interface. Read more in the current issue of the CIM.

Presentations at Embedded World
