CAN and CANopen online seminars

CiA has introduced the web-based CAN and CANopen seminars which help to increase attendees safety in times of the coronavirus. It provides in a compact format the contents of our well-known on-site seminars.

IAS participation

CiA has cancelled its participation in the IAS tradeshow in Shanghai, due to the uncertainties cause by the novel coronavirus. The sub-exhibitors of the CiA stand have already withdrawn their participation.

CiA technology day

The first online CiA technology day took place with some 30 attendees. The next one is scheduled for May 26.

Innotrans postponed

CiA has planned to exhibit on the Innotrans 2020, which now takes place in April 2021. This tradeshow in Berlin is the leading fair for railway business.

Remote access to CANopen

CiA has updated CiA 309-1 as well as CiA 309-3 and has released CiA 309-5. This series of specifications standardizes the remote access to CANopen network from TCP-networks.

CiA 454 conformance test

The conformance test specification for the CANopen profile for pedelecs has been released. It has been developed in co-operation with the nonprofit EnergyBus association.

IEC 62228-3 updated

IEC has released a new edition for EMC evaluation of CAN transceivers. It specifies test for ICs compliant with ISO 11898-2:2016. This includes also CAN FD transceivers.

J1939DA digital annex

SAE has released an updated version of the J1939DA digital annex containing most of the Parameter Group (PG) and Suspect Parameter (SP) specifications.

CiA General Assembly delayed

The CiA General Assembly will not take place on March 16. It has been postponed, but no new date has been scheduled yet.
