Successful Bauma 2022 trade show

The CiA participation at the Bauma trade show with a joint stand was a success: Happy faces also among the co-exhibitors (Baumer, EHB, ESD, Kvaser, and Microcontrol). The CAN Newsletter Online reported about CAN-related product developments.

Long network distances

On November 11, there is scheduled the next SIG long distances meeting. It develops recommendations and specifications for CAN FD/XL topologies with length up to several hundreds of meters. For more information, you may contact CiA office.

CiA membership increases

Beginning of this year, CiA counted 712 members. Now, the number of members has increased to 744. The list of members is here.

Online seminars

CiA has scheduled CAN and CANopen seminars. These four-hour online seminars are given in English language.

Appointments at Bauma 2022

Next week, the Bauma trade show takes place in Munich. If you like to meet CiA representatives from October 24 to 30 you can make appointments by email. The CiA booth (no. 337) is in hall A2.

CAN Technology Symposium

CiA member Vector organizes a one-day conference in Stuttgart, Germany. On October 25, speakers from different companies (including CiA) present the latest news on CAN technology, especially CAN XL.

First CAN XL hardware

The Stellar P6 micro-controller by STMicroelectronics featuring CAN XL connectivity are intended for 2024 EV-car platforms. Infineon’s Aurix TC4x family will also support CAN XL in 2024.

Long network distances

CiA members like to evaluate the network length limits for CAN FD and CAN XL. A Special Interest Group (SIG) accompanies the related research project. Interested parties can get more information from CiA office.

Free-of-charge iCC video recordings

CiA has recorded the presentations (papers as well as the open webinars) given at the 17th international CAN Conference (iCC). They are now available free of charge on CiA’s Youtube channel. There are also videos of previous iCC presentations on Youtube.
